Garmin has just released their new inReach Mini 2, which is equipped quipped with satellite texting and a dedicated S.O.S. button to help you live to hunt another day.

Purpose-built to support outdoor enthusiasts of all skill levels, the lightweight inReach Mini 2 communicator provides up to 30 days of battery life2, as well as integrated location and situational awareness features such as TracBack navigation and Garmin Explore™ Mobile app compatibility.
Satellite Comms and SOS From Garmin: The inReach Mini 2
The inReach Mini 2 from Garmin has a dedicated S.O.S. button that connects 24/7 to the Garmin International Emergency Response Coordination Center. Users have 14 days of battery life on the default setting, which broadcasts emergency signals every 10 minutes. Changing the settings to broadcast 30 minutes increases battery life to 30 days. The Mini 2 will passively record your path using TracBack technology and also uses GALILEO, QZSS, and BeiDou satellite networks. The Mini 2 is capable of making emergency SOS calls, as well as two-way texting. A satellite subscription plan is required and costs $11.95 per month. It can pair with over 80 Garmin devices and the Garmin Explore mobile application. Available in Black or Flame Red.
