[SHOT 2023] The Vulcan 9 NEW from LIONHEART Industries

Lionheart Industries has been known to oddball Korean pistol collectors, for a while as a practical solution is now releasing its newest rework of the DP-51/K5 pistol from South Korea. The new Vulcan 9 is an amalgam of heirloom quality work with modern machining and materials. The essence of the original Dp-51/K5 pistols lives on in the Vulcan 9 with the unique Double-Action Plus operating system still intact, but now with all the modern comforts that consumers want in a modern pistol.

From top to bottom, the Vulcan 9 has been reworked while still holding true to the original DP-51 core. To start with the slide has been milled to be optics-ready right out of the box, being compatible with any RMRcc pistol dot. The Vulcan 9 mounting system is a plateless system, so your dot is low as it can be over the bore. The trigger on the pistol has also been reworked, with a new “J” trigger shoe for ideal accuracy and finger placement.

The grips of the pistol have also been reworked to have a natural-feeling integrated gas pedal on the left side. The magazine capacity of the pistol has been increased so a 15-round magazine sits flush in the grip. Another neat feature of the magazines is one of the provided magazines comes with a NANO sight tool that is retained securely in the aluminum baseplate. These are only to name a few of the features of their new modern redesign. The Vulcan 9 is expected to be available starting April 2023 with prices starting at $1199.
