The new folding shooting mat, or FSM, from Savior Equipment gives the shooter a comfortable mat with some clever features for an affordable price. Let’s take a close look at the FSM.

This is not the first shooting mat from Savior Equipment. Their previous models were a more traditional roll up style, but feedback from customers led them to create the new FSM incorporating a way to fold that keeps the side that contacts the ground and the side for the shooter not contacting each other, helping to keep dirt and debris from spreading.
With years of feedback from our previous models, we’ve rebuilt our shooting mat by addressing the biggest concern. By switching up the way this mat closes up, we minimize the volume of dirt, dust, and debris that comes in contact with the shooting side. It’s a different kind of foldy boi.
Using the FSM couldn’t be easier. Unclasp the buckle, lay down, grab the end, and walk it backwards. To pack it up, it’s just the reverse, but make sure the orientation of the first fold and the rest will follow and be ready to go in seconds.
Construction of the FSM is also much improved from Savior’s previous model. Two layers of foam and a center plastic section will help make this a very comfortable shooting mat, while the plastic will aid in the mat retaining its shape. An integrated removable preload bar is included as well.
The end of the FSM has a section without foam that is designed for the muzzle end of your rifle. This is to keep the muzzle blast from kicking up dust and dirt.
