CROSS STX
Purpose-built for the professional user.
Details
The new CROSS STX from SIG SAUER is the latest evolution in the CROSS bolt-action rifle series. The CROSS STX brings a new level of performance and capability to the tactical shooter. Featuring a 20” precision barrel, full-length Picatinny top rail, thumb-rest safety selector, PRS-stye grip, AR-style controls, and AR-style ergonomics. The CROSS STX is the result of input from professional end-users looking for extreme performance in a lightweight, long-range platform.
Features
- Free float MLOK handguard w/ full length 20 MOA top rail
- New 20in heavy barrel equipped with SLH/SLX suppressor-ready flash hider
- External paddle magazine release
- Stage adjustable match trigger
- Folding adjustable precision stock, 30 inches overall length folded
- Includes a PRS-style grip and a right-side thumb rest safety lever
The full-length Picatinny top rail would certainly come in handy for today’s modern night hunters who often use clip-on thermal and night vision devices for hunting. In addition, the rifle’s folding adjustable stock should prove to be useful for customizing the rifle to several different shooters while out in the field. Really what this rifle feels like to me is a jack of all trades that might weigh a bit heavy on the “tactical” side of things due to its suppressor-ready flash hider – however, as we’ve seen in recent years, hunting with suppressors is becoming extremely popular. While the rifle is currently only available in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor, there is talk of adding .277 Fury to the mix. The SIG Sauer CROSS STX should go for a similar price as the CROSS PRS Model which is usually sold for around $2,500 MSRP. For more information, you can visit http://sigsauer.com/.
