[ICAST 2023] A NEW Micro Jig from Daiwa- The KO Jig
Eugene L. 07.17.23
For the realm of Super Light Jigging (SLJ) Daiwa has brought out a new line of micro jigs for this year’s ICAST with the new KO Jig. These new jigs have been designed to mimic micro bait such as tiny fry of the year shad, rain bait, or baby pilchards. A small compact package with great action should let these jigs excel during tough conditions on the water when fish are being very finicky and only honed in on small baitfish. The new KO jigs can be fished in a variety of ways such as being dropped, twitched, or paused during the retrieve. Or it can even be just reeled in like a spoon for a mild swimming action, or give the bait long lifts to have good vertical action before a fluttering erratic drop.
The new KO jig will have 4 different weights and sizes; 5/7 Oz (20 grams), 8/9 Oz (25 grams), 1 2/5 Oz (40 grams), and 2 1/7 Oz (61 grams). Each size and weight will come prerigged with two dressed assist hooks, that are matched to the jig size, on both ends of the jigs. Each size of KO jig will also be available in 4 different colors on release; 04 Maiwashi, 05 Blue Pink, 10 Zebra Glow Green Gold, and 21 Cotton Candy. All jigs will have an MSRP of $12.99 and should be available for sale everywhere in Quarter 3 of this year.
