Meet Taurus’ FIRST 10mm Pistol — The Taurus TH10 DA/SA

Modern hunters often use a backup handgun or sidearm to keep themselves protected not just from equivalent threats, but also from wild predators like bears, coyotes, and boars that they might run into on the hunt. For the best in predator protection, 10mm seems to be the best option since concealment really isn’t a focus, and the 10mm cartridge is capable of putting down nearly any four-legged threat in North America with relative ease. Taurus is proud to announce their new budget-friendly TH10 10mm pistol which comes in at an MSRP of just $530 and is the very first 10mm pistol the company has attempted to produce.

If you’re just now getting into 10mm or you’ve been a fan for ages, you’re going to love the new Taurus TH10.

The new Taurus TH10 will ship with two 15-round magazines, drift adjustable rear sights, front fixed sight (the website says it is drift adjustable but the photos clearly show a fixed front), and an ambidextrous safety/decocker. Much like the TH45, the TH10 lacks forward slide serrations like later iterations of the Taurus G3 series and the more modern GX4 series of handguns. The new handgun, despite its polymer frame weighs in at a whopping 28.5 ounces unloaded and has an overall length of 7.8 inches and an overall height of just under six inches – this ain’t a small handgun. Some may say unnecessary, but for enthusiasts of the 10mm cartridge, there aren’t a lot of industry options for a hammer-fired / thumb safety option out there.

It’s a well known fact that 10mm is the best MM, at least according to 10mm enthusiasts. We agree, which is why we’re launching the TH10, expanding our popular TH line to the potent 10mm cartridge.

Suitable for personal protection from both two legged and four legged threats, the TH10 uses the existing sturdy framework from the TH series that holds up to thousands of rounds without complaint. The initial trigger pull is a smooth double action, and then the subsequent follow up shots break cleanly in single action. Plus, like all other TH pistols, the TH10’s thumb safety doubles as a decocker, safely lowering the hammer. Or, carrying the gun cocked and locked just like you’d carry a Taurus 1911.

The Taurus TH10 10mm handgun is available for purchase now from any of Taurus’ dealers for an asking MSRP of $529.99 making it the least expensive semi-auto 10mm handgun on the market including Springfield’s XD series 10mm pistols. The TH10 seems like it might be perfect for people who are looking to use it for four-legged predator defense when hunting but just don’t have the budget for anything else, or are looking specifically for a DA/SA 10mm pistol.
