Shimano Brings BT Bait to The North American Market

Shimano North America, a leader in global fishing innovation is proudly introducing their highly anticipated BT Bait to the North American market. The BT Bait is a well-tested but new to the US swimbait that is being brought over from its proving grounds in Japan. This swimbait will be available in both a slow-sink and floating model. Shimano wants to set a new standard in lures for light spin or bait finesse system (BFS) anglers with this swimbait.

The BT Bait is a jointed swimbait with three hard body sections and a durable soft plastic elastomer tail. Each of these lures is crafted with precision to ensure a natural swimming action at any retrieval speed. The lure features Shimano’s Scale Boost technology as well, which sets this finesse lure apart from the competition with a composite-pitch hologram that mimics the depth and pattern of bait fish scales, to help get a bite from even the pickiest fish. Both the floating and sinking model of the BT Bait will come in at 3.9″(99mm) long and be available in six distinct colors to let anglers “match the hatch” and adjust to whatever water and light conditions they are fishing. MSRP is set to be $18.99.

“We could not be happier to bring unique finesse fishing option to North American anglers,” says Freshwater Product Marketing Manager Bob Mahoney. “With both sinking and floating models available, this lure caters to anglers looking with forward facing sonar or casting to cover the water.”
