[ICAST 2024] Fishlab BBZ Swimbait – Best of Category
Eugene L. 07.30.24
Fishlab has won Best of Category in Saltwater Hard Lure in the New Product Showcase for ICAST 2024 with the new BBZ Swimbait. Award-winning lure designer Bill Siemantel designed this new hard swimbait and is the result of months of design and testing with top anglers. Built to exacting specifications the Fishlab BBZ Swimbait lures in predatory species with the natural swimming action it gets from the four-piece design. The body of the lure swims and undulates as it moves through the water to imitate forage species worldwide.
For the hooks on the BBZ Swimbait, Fishlabd used tournament-grade BKK treble hooks. This ensures the best chance for whatever big predator that strikes the lure to get a hook in them and stay pinned for the duration of the fight. Action-wise the BBZ Swimbait anglers have two options, a super-slow sink and suspending actions. Letting anglers work the lure in the middle of the water column and lets it hang out near structure and come back to life suddenly to get a reaction strike. Available in two sizes, 4.5-inch and 6-inch, and seven vibrant colors; Baitfish, Carp, Mullet, Rainbow Trout, Sexy Bone, Skipjack, and Wakasagi. To complete the lure it comes with a hybrid tail design that adds to the lure’s overall appeal and realism. The BBZ Swimbait will have an MSRP of $17.99 for the 4.5″ model and $19.99 for the 6″ model. Both will be available this October.
