Colorado’s Cheyenne Mountain State Park Offers Winter Woods Program

Colorado Springs, CO – Children 3-to-12 years old and their parents are invited to come join the celebration of the holiday season Cheyenne Mountain State Park by attending a program, “Who Wanders the Winter Woods?” on Saturday, Dec. 10, between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Experience winter in the fields and forest through stories, wildlife puppets, and discovery time on the trail then, make holiday crafts to take home. Tasty treats will be available for all to enjoy. Space is limited and reservations are required. To make a reservation or obtain additional information, please call 719-576-2016.

The program is free, but please remember that all vehicles entering the park must purchase a $7 daily pass or display a $70 an Annual Colorado State Parks pass. The passes may be purchased at the Cheyenne Mountain State Park Visitor Center between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Daily passes may also be purchased at the self-serve station next to the entrance booth. Check or exact change required.
