AFFTA to Conduct Fly Fishing Industry Survey

This winter, the American Fly Fishing Trade Association will conduct a national fly fishing retail survey. Conducted approximately every three years, this survey is designed to help fly fishing retailers identify areas where they excel and areas where they may be able to improve profitability. The results are also used by AFFTA to help promote and grow the industry.

This study establishes the size of the retail fly-fishing market, provides detailed information for every major category of fly-fishing product and is an indispensable resource for any business or organization interested in tracking industry trends. In addition, the information will further our understanding of market share and ultimately provide an accurate representation of the fly fishing industry.

Between February and March, Southwick Associates will be contacting fly shops throughout the U.S. All retailers who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for one of five $200 gift certificates. The drawing will be held in late March, and winners will be notified by email and phone. All retailers are encouraged to participate and provide the most comprehensive data so the survey will represent an accurate representation of the fly fishing industry.
