Buck Knives recently awarded their 2011 Sales Rep. Agency of the Year to Upper Canada Sports of Toronto, as well as naming Sales Rep of the Year to Jimmy Newman of the Newman Agency in Troy, Alabama.
Upper Canada Sports and the Newman Agency are independent manufacturer’s representatives with long standing relationships with Buck Knives. Upper Canada Sports consists of Norm Belanger, Principal/Owner, and a sales team of Todd Horton and Shawn Amyotte. They are also supported with an outstanding office team led by Tracy Perlic and Heather Coulson. Upper Canada Sports has worked with Buck Knives for the past 15 years and also received this award in 2010. Jimmy Newman has been a Buck rep for 43 years, after taking over his father’s business in 1992.
“I take great pride in honoring these individuals for their accomplishments. It is also very sentimental to me and my father knowing that my grandfather, Al Buck, hired Jimmy’s father, James Newman Sr., as one of our original rep groups in the 1960’s. My family is very appreciative of what our external sales force has accomplished and for the hard work they put in on behalf of Buck Knives everyday,” saidCJ Buck, President of Buck Knives.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Belanger said, “Our team takes pride in representing a brand that delivers the quality and workmanship that every Buck Knife possesses. To be honored for two years in a row is a team accomplishment that we are all very proud of.”
The Buck Knives brand continues to be well represented throughout the world, thanks to all their rep agencies. “Our sales force is what makes the business grow, and we value the hard-work and dedication of the entire team. Norm and his team as well as Jimmy and the Newman agency are being recognized for outstanding results in 2011,” said Bob George, Director of Sales and Marketing, Buck Knives.
