Gerber Taps Industry Veteran Jay McGregor as VP of Sales

Gerber Legendary Blades, an industry leader since 1939, today announced the appointment of Jay McGregor as Vice President of Commercial Sales. A veteran sales professional, McGregor assumes the role immediately and will be responsible for sales throughout the Americas.
An avid outdoorsman, McGregor joins Gerber after holding VP of Sales positions at both Birkenstock USA and The Coleman Company. In his new role Jay will be responsible for leading the sales team, collaborating across the organization to further develop, support and build customer relationships and expanding Gerber’s distribution footprint. McGregor will be based at Gerber’s U.S. headquarters in Portland, Oregon and report directly to Gerber President Jason Landmark.

We’ve built incredible momentum with our recent re-branding efforts, the launch of many exciting new products and a number of key marketing initiatives that will continue to differentiate the Gerber brand in the marketplace.”
No stranger to accelerated growth environments McGregor is an ideal fit for Gerber. Throughout his career from earlier days at Adidas and Teva through his time at Coleman and Birkenstock McGregor has demonstrated the ability to improve sales and increase market share.
“I’ve been paying close attention to the Gerber brand over the past eighteen months and I’m honored to join the leadership team,” said McGregor. “Gerber has always held a respected place in the industry but the current management group has taken the brand to new heights and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside such a great group of minds.”
