Hydrapak Presents Inaugural Inside Trail Endurance Challenge

Hydrapak, a leading global supplier of active-lifestyle hydration equipment, today announced their role as presenting sponsor of Inside Trail Racing’s Marin Endurance Challenge. The race will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012, and features both a 50K and 50-mile course to challenge a variety of abilities.
Starting just steps away from historic Fort Cronkite and the dark sands of Rodeo Beach, the race course was meticulously designed by Hydrapak Marketing Manager and The Endurables creator, Jim Vernon. The 50-mile loop and has over 10,000 feet of climbing from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, through Muir Woods and around Mt. Tamalpais. Participants will be welcomed at aid stations stocked with a wide assortment of fuel options, including a generous helping of Clif Poducts.
“We’re excited to be sponsoring what is arguably one of the quintessential trail race courses in the country,” said Jim Vernon, from his trailside home in Sausalito, “Both courses utilize unique California trails known to only a handful of seasoned locals and have, as far as we know, never been used for racing. Racers will enjoy beautiful scenery every step of the way while running on fresh ground.”

Prizes for the top male and female runners in the 50-mile race are as follows: 1st-$250, 2nd-$175, 3rd-$75. In addition, participants in both distances and each age group will compete for awards from Hydrapak and Inside Trail’s 2012 partner La Sportiva, including shoes, the Hydrapak E-Lite Vest, Soft Flasks, Gel-Bots, and other special raffle awards.
The race will be capped at 350 people, so it is recommended that runners register early to secure entry to the event.
