The Outdoor Campus-West Hosts New South Dakota Exhibit

   02.14.12

The Game, Fish and Parks Outdoor Campus-West is now hosting a traveling exhibit that teaches children how different animals construct their homes.

Animals as Architects features hands-on exhibits on beavers, termites, birds and other creatures.

“This is a really fun exhibit for kids,” said GFP’s Chad Tussing, director of The Outdoor Campus-West. “They can see inside some of these animal-made creations and even build their own bird nest and spider webs.”

Animals as Architects is a traveling exhibit through the Hands-On Partnership, a program of the South Dakota Discovery Center in Pierre. The exhibit will be on display at The Outdoor Campus-West through the spring.

The Outdoor Campus West is located at 4130 Adventure Trail Road. There is no admission to The Outdoor Campus-West and the facility is open to the public six days a week.
