The only TV show all about air-powered guns, American Airgunner, now falls under the direction of Umarex USA. Umarex and the show’s host, Paul Capello, are now working with 5 Star Productions of Fort Smith, Arkansas to film and produce new episodes for 2012.
“This show provides a tremendous opportunity to educate and inform viewers about a multitude of products related to the shooting sports,” said Justin “JB” Biddle, Marketing Manager for Umarex USA and executive producer of the show. “We’ve outlined 13 action-packed and entertaining episodes that not only show how airguns can be used or how they work, but also how and when to use things like, lasers, cleaning kits, targets, clothing, just about anything that can be used to enhance the shooter’s experience.”
JB continued to say that there would be an airgun challenge in each episode, but would not expand on it other than to say that the challenge was going to give them an avenue that would not only entertain an audience, but also provide a platform to show off a multitude of airguns and products that would not be exclusive to Umarex.
Paul Capello, original creator of the show stated, “I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity to work with Umarex and the crew at 5 Star. Since we’ve started filming together I truly believe that we will blaze trails in the airgun industry and create television that is unique and entertaining.”
“We’ve worked with Umarex for a few years now and are stoked that they trust us with the production of American Airgunner,” said Mike Hart, owner of 5 Star Productions. “Collectively, my crew has produced an on-screen film and worked on the sets of Extreme Home Makeover, Last Shot with Judge Gunn, and Ghost Adventures. Their level of excitement about producing American Airgunner is right up there with those productions.”
According to JB, television distribution options and sponsorship opportunities are currently being evaluated. They want to make sure they find the right partners and the right network to ensure the success of the American Airgunner TV Show.
