Scottsdale Residents Return From the Toughest Fishing Destination

Scottsdale, Az., residents Dr. Vincent Russo and John Stasik just returned from a trip-of-a-lifetime with Anglers Inn International in the toughest fishing destination known to man – the Amazon. On the trip, Russo and Stasik caught over 250 peacock bass during their six days of fishing.

The primary bait for the Scottsdale pair was a custom Amazon jig that was made by the guides of Anglers Inn International. The best fishing was located in the back of shallow, isolated lagoons. Getting back to these remote lagoons were no small feat. Guides used chain saws, machetes and axes to cut through to these isolated pockets of wild Amazon.

Fish ranging in the 8-12-pound range were common on the trip with a few 13 – 18 pounders being landed. Anglers can also expect to catch four different species of piranhas and eight other Amazon-dwelling species of fish.

“All totaled, we caught over 500 fish, but half of those were strictly peacock bass,” said Russo. “It was by far some of the toughest fishing conditions, but you wouldn’t think of it by looking at the accommodations. Billy Chapman Jr. and Anglers Inn International have far exceeded the standards of everyday service and quality. The Amazon is pretty tough, but Anglers Inn has figured out a way to keep everyone comfortable.”

Utilizing the exclusive Floating Suites, anglers will have the unique opportunity to fish new water each day, going where no other outfitter can go. These suites have the ability to navigate beyond natural barriers, drafting only eight inches of water, to reach the most exclusive fishing areas where other anglers are not allowed. The Floating Mobile offer an up close look at Amazon life while retaining a luxury feel.

Not only are these air-conditioned suites spacious, they also have a riverside front and back porch, giving angler the perfect opportunity to enjoy an evening cocktail. Each of the Anglers Inn Amazon guests enjoyed their trip that was enhanced by the “Anglers Inn Way.” The Floating Suites are located close enough to the good fishing to allow easy access to an air-conditioned meal, a refreshing shower or swim and comfortable siesta.

Anglers that enjoy the trip-of-a-lifetime are treated to new experiences each day of the trip. Floating Suites give guests the opportunity to see more miles of the Amazon jungle. The oversized rooms and air conditioning make every day enjoyable. Even the most novice anglers find themselves having tremendous success.

“We believe we have thought of everything to keep anglers as comfortable as possible for the tough Amazon conditions,” said Chapman. “Each angler that fishes with us is treated like royalty. They get to experience the true culture of the forest, complete with sounds of Howler monkeys and all that is the Amazon. Potential anglers will also receive an Amazon Tough bag that includes over 30 items that anglers receive prior to their trip. Of course, this Amazon Tough bag is included with every trip purchased. We tried to plan ahead so you don’t have to sweat the small stuff.” Anglers can see short videos, photos and client testimonials for yourself at www.anglersinn.com.
