After an incredibly popular 2012 season opener on Sam Rayburn Lake earlier this month, the Texas Team Trail presented by Cabela’s will host its second event Saturday April 7th on Ray Roberts Lake.  The 29,000-plus acre reservoir is located just north of the Dallas / Fort Worth area and is one of Texas’ premier tournament venues.

Registration for the event is already underway – anglers can secure an opportunity to pre-fish Friday, April 6th by completing their registration online or via phone prior to midnight on Thursday, April 5th.  In addition, anglers registering prior to midnight Thursday will be automatically entered in a drawing for an 8 foot, Pro-Series II Power Pole shallow water anchor system – a retail value of over $1,500.

The event itself, designed exclusively for team competition, offers anglers an unprecedented opportunity in terms of payout, sponsor bonuses and television coverage.

The Ray Roberts event is the second of four 2012 qualifying events that guarantee a fully-rigged, 18’ tournament equipped bass boat package as first place prize – in this case a Stratos 189 VLO with 150 hp Evinrude outboard.  Combine that with a budget-friendly, $250 entry fee, multiple contingency bonus programs and over 100% payback – and the buzz among Texas’ anglers is firmly situated on the new Texas Team Trail and upcoming April 7th event on Ray Roberts Lake.

On-site registration will be held Friday, April 6th from 5-8pm at the Elks Lodge, located just inside the entrance of Ray Roberts Marina.  At least one team member is required to attend.  The tournament will launch Saturday, April 7th at safe light from Ray Roberts Lake Marina and weigh-in will begin at the same location at 3pm.  Anglers with questions or anyone interested in more details on the event are encouraged to visit or call 210-788-4143.
