This Week on Student of the Gun: Choosing the Right Ammo for Self-Defense and the One-Man Go Bag

Not all ammunition is created equal.  Some ammo is made to be cost effective for training while other ammunition is pricey but designed to save your life.  We take a look at the characteristics you should demand from ammunition you’ll potentially use to save your life.

Whether your are police officer or legally armed citizen, the One-Man Go Bag loaded with emergency gear and accessories is a logical idea.  We consider the Rapid Deployment Bag from US Peacekeeper and what gear you might want to put in it.

In the “inexpensive and fun” category we’ll hit the range with a couple of .22LR guns from Chiappa; the M4-22 and M9-22.  Both are replicas of the centerfire models but they cost pennies shot and are fun for the entire family.  Student of the Gun airs every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday on the Sportsman Channel.  Please check your local service provider for dates and times.
