Inventor Revolutionizes the World of Shooting

“This product revolutionizes the way people learn to shoot. It’s a game changer!” Throughout the history of firearms there has always been the need and desire to know the point of impact. “We have developed a target that dramatically improves the learning curve,” says Rocky Mraz, inventor of the Huckleberry Target.
The Huckleberry Target, by Real Time Targets LLC, detects and displays (to the shooter) the point of impact instantly. It is durable enough for commercial use, portable enough to use almost anywhere, and simple enough to be used by anyone. The Durable Target with On Target Display (Patent Pending) uses impact sensors attached to an armor plate to control LED lights, sound effects and an on target timer.
“This target started out to be something fun for kids,” added Mraz. “But when combined with a high quality, realistic air gun you get an unbelievable training tool that can quickly improve shooting skills while having a heck of a lot of fun.”
The Real Time Targets team researched and tested several guns until they found the eight shot, bolt action 850 Air Magnum from Hammerli. After firing over 50,000 rounds through the same gun, they decided to offer the “850” with their targets. “We’re still using that original “850” for demonstrations today, and it will still put eight shots in one hole,” says Mraz.
For a pistol they found that the Beretta 92-FS eight-shot, single or double action, nickel with wood grips passed all testing with flying colors. Both of these guns shoot .177 cal. lead pellets, are CO2 powered and have the look, feel and function of the real thing. At about three cents per shot it is cheaper, safer and quieter than practicing with a .22.
Pheasants Forever, National Wild Turkey Federation, Mule Deer Foundation, 4-H, YMCA and other organizations have purchased the Huckleberry Target, to promote and assist with the development of young shooters. The Wyoming Army National Guard, Civilian Marksmanship Program, Hunter Education Programs and Conceal Weapons Permit Instructors are using the Huckleberry Target to quickly develop proficiency in shooters of all ages and skill levels.
Real Time Targets offers the Huckleberry Target with the Electronic Marksmanship Training System in a custom Boyt H-Series (lifetime warranty) gun case in four different combinations: Hunter, Deluxe, Concealed Carry Training Kit and their best seller the Pro Kit.
