Ventilated Zippered Sleeping Bag for Those Warm Summer Nights

Campers who find themselves overheating in their sleeping bags now have a chance to let off some steam with Hammacher Schlemmer’s new Zippered Vents Sleeping Bag. As the name implies, the sleeping bag is made up of several vents, or pockets. Instead of just one long zipper along the long side (don’t worry, that one’s still there), this sleeping bag has four zippers that unzip the width of the sleeping bag at different intervals. So if your feet get hot and sweaty, you can upzip the zipper closest to your feet and let the air out of the sleeping bag, while the rest of you stays toasty.

The option is there to keep all the zippers closed if campers are, in fact, in cold temperatures. But proof of its versatility comes when you can take the same sleeping bag made for withstanding 20 degree Fahrenheit temperatures out for a night on the beach where temperatures hardly fall below 60 degrees and you only want a little shelter from the breeze.

The four outer zippers open near the ankles, knees, waist and chest. It is rectangular and has an outer shell of 210 thread-count rip-stop nylon, a soft cotton flannel lining and is filled with four-layer microfiber insulation rated to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. A pillow slips into a built-in sleeve for head support and a nylon stuff sack is included for storage. Find more specifications and prices at Hammacher Schlemmer.
