Online Boating Safety Course Gives Texas Boaters a New Certification Option

   06.19.12

Austin, TX – BOATERexam.com, North America’s leading online boating safety course, is now available in the state of Texas. This gives the state’s residents a convenient and engaging option for obtaining their Texas boater education certificate.

All Texas boaters born after September 1st, 1993 are required to carry the Texas boater education certificate when operating any motorized vessel over 15hp, any wind-blown vessel over 14 feet, or any personal watercraft (PWC) on state waters.

Fresh Air Educators, developers of BOATERexam.com, worked closely with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) to launch the Texas version of its successful course. Featuring interactive animations, helpful narration, over 150 videos, BOATERexam.com provides boaters with a fun way to learn about safety on their own time and at their own pace.

Tim Spice, Boating Education Manager at TPWD, said of the new course, “Boating education has proven very effective at reducing serious boating accidents, so we are trying to give residents great options to get that education. BOATERexam.com is one of those great options.”

Kerry Moher, Vice President at Fresh Air Educators, added, “We started working with TPWD a couple of years ago when we introduced our online Texas hunter education course. We have received great feedback on that course, so adding a boating course is a great next step. And it’s perfect timing for summer.”

Until June 30th, Fresh Air Educators is offering a 25% discount on its Texas BOATERexam.com. To receive the discount, boaters enter the code: TX0512 when finalizing payment at www.boaterexam.com/usa/texas
