QDMA’s National Convention Offers Access to Wildlife Experts & More

The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) will hold its 12th Annual National Convention in just two weeks, on August 9-11, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.

For a second-consecutive year, QDMA’s National Convention will be held in partnership with the Bass Pro Shops Land & Wildlife Expo. Last year, the partnership helped produce one of the largest conventions in recent years, and QDMA is returning to Nashville to expand on last year’s success at the beautiful, world-class Opryland Resort.

QDMA Convention attendees will have access to more wildlife experts than at any previous Convention! The QDMA Convention package grants attendees access to the traditional QDMA events, like the Whitetail Wisdom sessions, plus tickets to the Land & Wildlife Expo Seminar Series.

An amazing group of presenters has been assembled for the Seminar Series including Ryan Basinger of Westervelt Wildlife Services, Bobby Cole & Todd Amenrud of BioLogic, deer researcher Dr. Mark Conner, Neil Dougherty of NorthCountry Whitetails, Dr. Craig Harper of the University of Tennessee, wildlife consultant Bryan Kinkel, habitat expert Paul Knox, Dr. Karl Miller of the University of Georgia, the Natural Resources Conservation Service staff, Dan Perez of Whitetail Properties, Rod Pinkston of Jager Pro, R.D. Wallace of Realtree Nursery, bowhunting expert Barry Wensel and consultant Dr. Grant Woods. For the complete speaker list, seminar schedule, topics to be covered and presenter bios, visit www.landandwildllifeexpo.com.

QDMA is also excited to have two very special guests at this year’s event, R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere from the History Channel’s popular show Swamp People. R.J. and Jay Paul, current QDMA members, have registered to attend the Convention, where their fellow QDMA members can meet them at the Grand Banquet on Friday. Additionally, the Molinere’s will have a booth at the Bass Pro Shops Land & WIldlife Expo, where they will meet fans and sign autographs.

This year’s convention will also feature several new additions including QDMA Opening Ceremonies, the Boot Scoot N’ Boogie Party, hands-on hunting workshops and Rack Pack youth events! QDMA will kick off the Convention at the Opening Ceremonies by passing the torch to the next generation of QDMA, the Rack Pack, and leaders will also speak on how QDMA will “Go for the Gold” in 2013, our 25th Anniversary year. At the Boot Scoot N’ Boogie Party, attendees can party in true Nashville style with the bluegrass group, the Cleverlys.
