This Week on Student of the Gun: Pistol 101, Silent Shooting with the.300 Blackout, and Armed Living

This week SOTG takes the “Pepsi Challenge” to see whether or not a suppressed centerfire rifle can be quieter than a standard velocity .22 LR rifle. Our test subject is the AAC Micro 7 rifle chambered in .300 Blackout topped with an AAC silencer shooting sub-sonic ammunition.

You need much more than a gun and ammunition if you are truly going to be an armed citizen. During our Armed Living/Concealed Carry discussions we’ll talk about clothing choices, holsters, gear, and alternative use of force options.

During “Before the Storm” Paul is back with more outdoor/emergency cooking tips. We look at a very unique and often overlooked form of cooking fuel readily available from your MRE package.
