Pennsylvania Launches Snowmobile Safety Class at Snowmobile-ed.com
Snowmobile-ed 11.26.12
Students can now receive their Pennsylvania snowmobile safety certification online at snowmobile-ed.com/pennsylvania. The online course is state-approved training that covers the same material that’s taught in the classroom.
“Since we do not offer instructor-led training for adults, the new online snowmobile safety course gives Pennsylvania adults a legitimate opportunity to receive quality snowmobile safety training,” said Jason Hall, recreation programs specialist for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry. “In some cases, students can submit their snowmobile safety education certificate to insurance companies for a potential insurance break.”
Pennsylvania’s online snowmobile course features interactive animations and illustrations that make it fun and easy to learn how to safely enjoy snowmobiling. Students taking the course will learn how to:
- Maintain, operate and store their snowmobiles.
- Use correct riding techniques.
- Dress for the weather.
- Deal with unexpected conditions.
- Follow state snowmobiling laws.
Pennsylvania’s new snowmobile safety course is mobile friendly so students can take the course on a smartphone, tablet, laptop and Internet TV. Students can access the course on the Web even if the only way they have to connect to the Internet is via their smartphone. For more information, visit snowmobile-ed.com/pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania students ages 16 and older who want to receive their snowmobile safety certificate pay a one-time fee, which is due only when they pass the test. Upon passing their snowmobile classes, students can print out the temporary certificate and immediately begin enjoying safe snowmobiling.
