After nearly 40 years as a global outdoor and sport industry innovator, Hi-Tec Sports is debuting new, innovative apparel technologies that once again set the industry standards. The Fall 2013 Hi-Tec apparel line is designed to equip consumers with high performance technologies at accessible price points.
“In 1978, Hi-Tec redefined the hiking category by introducing our Sierra Lite Hiker, the world’s first lightweight hiker. In 2008, we were the first footwear company to utilize ion-mask™ liquid repellency technology in its designs. And in 2012, we introduced Color-Tec, a dyed down proprietary technology, in our apparel,” noted Ed van Wezel, CEO of Hi-Tec Sports.
“As a family-owned business, it’s in our DNA to deliver industry firsts at accessible price points. The 2013 line builds on our heritage as an innovator,” said van Wezel.
In 2013, Hi-Tec has created the industry’s first stretch knit down jackets, using a 30 denier interlock knit which provides a lightweight, super soft and stretchy down experience.
The company will also introduce the use of Dri-Tec Pro, an optimized waterproof and breathable, encapsulated PTFE system, in its Men’s Napier Ridge Shell II jacket – providing its user the ultimate in extreme weather protection.
