Sportsmen of North America (www.sportsmenna.com), one of the newest and fastest growing online social networks for outdoorsmen and women, has signed an agreement to bring its television show to the Pursuit Channel for 2013.
Sportsmen of North America (SNA) launched its social network for outdoorsmen in 2006. In 2007 it premiered Sportsmen of North America TV on The Sportsman Channel, where it ran continuously through the 2012 television season. Looking for a fresh perspective and the chance to get in front of “new eyes,” Sportsmen of North America TV made its full-time move to Pursuit for 2013. “We are excited about the change and the new relationship with Pursuit,” said Keith Powell, founder of Sportsmen of North America. “We are trying to keep things fresh and showcase all that we have to offer outdoorsmen through the club, and we feel that the Pursuit Channel is a great opportunity to do so by reaching a new audience.”
Not only does SNA offer a complete online social network experience for outdoorsmen and women, it also provides outdoor opportunities through its weekly giveaway program. Each week, everyday outdoorsmen have chances to win outfitted excursions for a variety of game with incredible outfitters all over the U.S. and Canada. To date, SNA has given away over $1 million in hunts and prizes… truly changing lives one hunt at a time. The SNA TV production team then takes to the field and films these lucky winners and showcases them on SNA television.
Sportsmen of North America TV was nominated in 2010 for two “Sportsmen’s Choice” awards during the outdoor industry’s SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV, including “Best Variety Show.” The show took top honors for “Best Shoot Clip.” Show personalities include SNA founder Keith Powell and host Mike McCabe, as well as “Mr. Kicking Bear” Ray Howell. While McCabe and Howell are definitely the archery junkies on the show, with entries in the Pope and Young Club and Boone and Crockett Club record books too numerous to list, Powell’s long-range rifle shooting prowess is definitely worth watching. Powell has anchored over a dozen big-game animals at distances from 400 yards to 800 yards, plus!
Through December 2013, Sportsmen of North America TV can be seen three times per week on the Pursuit Channel: Monday @ 3:30 p.m. (EST), Friday @ 5:30 p.m. and Sunday @ 6:30 p.m..
