EOTech, the world leader in holographic optics for small weapons, has raised the bar and created a new holographic sight designed specifically for the crossbow platform. The EOTech 512.Xbow sight will increase the hunter’s ability to acquire their target using the specially designed ranging and aiming reticle.

Extremely easy to use, the Xbow sight offers (4) 1MOA aiming dots for precise targeting throughout the range of the crossbow. Included with the sight is the Xbow Ballistic Wheel that provides Point of Impact (POI) distance solutions for any speed (FPS) crossbow. Simply zero at 20 yards, align the dial to your crossbow speed, then shoot at the other distances to confirm. A handy sticker to attach to the limb of the crossbow is included for the hunter to write down their distances.

In addition, the Xbow includes a pre-calculated ranging scale within the sight picture that allows the hunter to determine distance. With the average deer measuring about 16″ from back to the belly, simply position the base of the scale on the belly (see diagram next to the sight) and read from where the back intersects the scale – it’s that easy.

After extensive testing of the Xbow, John Bailey, Marketing Director and avid hunter, had the following to say, “The Xbow holographic sight takes all the guess work out of crossbow hunting with optics. Having ranging and ballistic aiming capabilities all within one viewing window eliminates the need for unnecessary movements in the stand and offers you the ability to transition and get on target quickly”.

Available in April of 2013, the Xbow sight weights just under 11oz and mounts to both 1″Weaver and MIL-STD 1913 rails. It has a run time of 1,000 hours when powered by 2 AA lithium batteries (600 alkaline or rechargeable) and is waterproof to 10ft. MSRP for the 512.Xbow is $489.00.
