Montana Angler Fly Fishing Announces a New Fly Fishing Lodge Package in the Yellowstone River Valley

Montana Angler Fly Fishing recently announced an all inclusive fishing lodge package on the Yellowstone River just east of Livingston, MT that will be available to guests in 2013. The lodge is located on the Mission Ranch which offers guests 4,500 acres with 3 miles of private access to the Yellowstone River and several miles of Mission Creek. There is also a productive spring creek on the property that is home to large wild trout. The lodge is located near the center of the most productive area of the Yellowstone River for wild trout. High quality trout water extends for over sixty miles upstream and downstream of the lodge. In addition the the Yellowstone River the lodge also offers numerous other fisheries to guests including the Boulder River, Madison River, Stillwater River, Shields River, Yellowstone National Park and several famous spring creeks just south of Livingston.

“The Yellowstone River is one of Montana’s most famous wild trout rivers yet there is definitely a need for a lodge experience that caters exclusively to fly fisherman.” states Montana Angler Fly Fishing outfitter and guide Brian McGeehan. “The location is really ideal. There is so much water within striking distance of the lodge that anglers will truly have a very diverse fishing experience. We can fish a different river or stream every day of someones trip. The large number different fisheries also provides a lot of protection so you don’t have to put all of your eggs in one basket. If there are heavy rains in Yellowstone Park and the main river gets dirty for a day or two we can switch gears and fish one of the other rivers in the area or one of our leases on private ranches and still have a banner day on the water. The huge amount of private access to three different fisheries right on the ranch also allows our guests to go out after dinner for some more fishing if they are so inclined.”
