The Police Marksman magazine has returned as an online magazine at http://www.policemarksman.com/ for police firearms instructors, range officers, and enthusiasts. The Police Marksman can be read on smart phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.
The Police Marksman magazine was originally published from 1976 until 2007. Hendon Media Group purchased the magazine and has brought it back to cover police firearms and related products, tactics, training, and competition.
Brian McKenna’s renowned “Officer Down” column is also back with his respected forensic analysis of officer involved shootings. McKenna brings his 33 years of police service and his unique style of reader-involved writing to his revered column. Several writers from the original Police Marksman, as well as new contributors from the forefront of police firearms training, will be sharing their extensive knowledge.
Each bi-monthly online issue will contain a “Course of Fire” created by fellow police officers that can be utilized for department range training.
The Police Marksman has always been “by cops, for cops” and continues with that mission today.
The Police Marksman’s goal is to make law enforcement officer’s job both safer and easier by providing up-to-date topics they can really use. In turn, the information can be brought directly to roll calls and injected into range training to benefit every member of the agency.
Welcome back to The Police Marksman!
