This Week on Student of the Gun: Colt LE901, .300 Blackout Handi-rifle, and SHOT 2013 Inside Look

This week’s show begins with our journey to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend the Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show better known as SHOT.  We’ll give you an inside look at the show and sneak peek at many of the new products coming from your favorite manufacturers.  Stay tuned for SHOT footage throughout the upcoming season.

Our travels take us back to the Circle WC Ranch in Texas where we go hunting with Bill Wilson and put the new Colt LE901 rifle to work culling some of the doe population.  The LE901 is a most versatile rifle and it can be easily converted from a .308 Winchester to a 5.56mm by swapping upper receivers and buffers.

Paul takes a close look at a very unique new product; the H&R Handi-Rifle chambered in .300 Blackout and offered by Advanced Armament Corporation.   Topped with an AAC silencer and fed with sub-sonic ammunition from Wilson Combat, the sound of the bullet impacting is louder than the shot.   Lastly, we hit the indoor range and consider ways to spice up your practice session with unconventional shooting.
