Keefer Brothers Battle Sickness, Horses & Elements on Dropped: Project Yukon – Tuesday Night

The pressure is mounting and the unpredictable nature of the Yukon is taking its toll on the Keefer brothers in the next episode of Dropped: Project Yukon airing exclusively on Sportsman Channel. The horses are becoming a ‘wild card’ in the brothers’ quest for the ‘Yukon Slam’ and the long rides and hikes are taking a negative toll on the brothers’ minds and bodies. Do not miss the hair-raising twists and turns of Dropped: Project Yukon on Tuesday, February 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Dropped: Project Yukon is a Sportsman Channel original series produced in conjunction with Rusted Rooster Media.

Fresh off a successful ram harvest, Chris and Casey Keefer set out on a 20-hour horseback ride to Camp Tom-Tom into the tall pine trees of moose country. The journey is hardly easy as the men encounter serious problems with the horses and an acute illness that sidetracks Casey. Not long after arriving in the Blood River Valley, their fortunes turn as they spot two moose in the far distance. Their only issue becomes the next move from Chris’ horse.

“We are learning that one of the most important pieces of this journey is the health and safety of the horses,” said Chris Keefer. “It can become very frustrating when the impulses and needs of the horses impede the goals of the team. We have never encountered this type of adversity but we managed to be strong and patient.”

Day twelve brings sunny skies and new found hope as the brothers get back to hunting and spot a large grizzly in the distance. The next several steps prove to be paramount for the brothers!
