SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-end illumination tools and tactical products, introduces an entirely new category of tactical illumination tool: the 2211 variable-output LED WristLight. It was designed to be paired with a handgun and provide hands-free tactical illumination for a broad range of scenarios. With the 2211 on your support side wrist, LED aimed in the direction of the hand , the diffuse beam will provide sufficient illumination for threat identification and accurate shooting at close-to medium range in low light and darkness. The 2211 automatically aligns with a handgun when used with your normal two-handed grip and stance, and will cast blinding light into the eyes of a threat, impairing his dark-adapted vision in low light.
“In a high-stress situation-potentially involving a deadly force decision-the ability to have hands-free, overwhelming white light is essential. The 2211 is a giant advancement for law enforcement in dealing with threats in everyday low-light encounters,” said Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Kevin Skehan.
The 2211 is activated by ambidextrous pushbutton switches, one on either side of the light body. Select from high (180 lumen), medium (60 lumen), and low (15 lumen) outputs. The integral lithium-ion rechargeable battery provides 1.25 hours of tactical runtime at the high level and is recharged using a standard micro-USB cable. Precision machined from aerospace aluminum and Mil-Spec hard anodized for durability, the 2211 is approximately the size of a sports watch. A fuel gauge located on the top of the light keeps the user aware of the battery charge level. The custom refractive optic creates a smooth, diffuse beam, which helps in countering tunnel vision during high-stress encounters. MSRP is $495.00, and it is available through authorized SureFire dealers or by calling SureFire at 800-828-8809 or going online at http://www.surefire.com/2211
