Mother Nature’s furor is creating a winter wonderland for the Keefer brothers and it’s making for an untenable eating and hunting situation on the upcoming episode of Dropped: Project Yukon which airs exclusively on Sportsman Channel. Snow totals accumulate to nearly three feet over a three day period and warrant an emergency satellite phone call for a weather update. Audiences will be captivated by the quick thinking and close encounters with bull moose on Dropped: Project Yukon on Tuesday, February 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Dropped: Project Yukon is a Sportsman Channel original series produced in conjunction with Rusted Rooster Media.
The extreme snow accumulation and hungry horses force the Keefer’s to make a difficult decision and make an early exit from ‘Church Camp’ and ride north to camp ‘3 barrel’ where a lake and greener grasses await. The nearly three feet of snow is putting an extra strain on the horses and their ability to move. After a demanding journey the men arrive to their next camp and spot a massive bull moose in the distance. Chris grabs his muzzleloader and bow and engages in a hard fought stalk with the assistance of his brother Casey and his guide.
Nightfall quickly approaches which makes for a frustrating finish for Chris. “Casey and I had a huge bull spotted but he somehow slipped passed us into the fading light,” said Chris Keefer, Co-Host of Dropped: Project Yukon. “We are extremely hungry and need to put something down on the ground. The end result on this particular hunt is as angry as I’ve been in a long time and it shows. The positive sign is we are seeing big animals and it‘s only a matter of time before we satisfy our growing hunger.”
