BOWTECH Archery has partnered with Cabela’s to create a new compound bow available through the outfitter’s retail outlets and website beginning April 2013. The Cabela’s Regulator by BOWTECH is an all-inclusive bow package featuring the performance of the BOWTECH’s Diamond Archery brand with the convenience and value expected by Cabela’s shoppers.

“We are honored to produce a great bow for the World’s Foremost Outfitter,” said Mark Pezzoni, President of BOWTECH and Diamond Archery. BOWTECH has introduced industry-leading bows in recent years including the Insanity CPX and Experience, while Diamond Archery has produced versatile bows like Atomic and Infinite Edge.

“When we were tasked with building a compound bow that would live up to the Cabela’s standard for quality and performance, we knew the innovators at BOWTECH were the perfect partners,” said Ryan Shutts, Cabela’s category manager for archery. “We are thrilled with the finished results of the Cabela’s Regulator by BOWTECH, and are extremely excited to get these bows into the hands of our customers.”

The Cabela’s Regulator by BOWTECH is a single-cam bow with a 32-inch axle-toaxle length and 6.5-inch brace height. Draw lengths range from 26 to 30 inches with a rotating module and an adjustable draw weight between 50 and 70 pounds on one set of limbs. The bow weighs just 3.9 pounds and can deliver arrows at speeds up to 325 feet per second.

Included with the bow are accessories from OCTANE including the Deadlock Lite five-arrow quiver, Hostage XL arrow rest and a five-inch stabilizer. A three-pin Apex sight, wrist sling, alloy peep sight and D-loop are also included in the bow package. Tom Nelson, host of Outdoor Channel’s The American Archer introduced the bow at the Feb. 14 grand opening of Cabela’s in Saginaw, Michigan.

“Shooting a bow is not just a hobby for me, it’s how I make my living,” Nelson said. “I need a bow I can depend on under any circumstance. While shooting the new Cabela’s Regulator by BOWTECH, I have found it to be fast yet extremely accurate. With almost no hand shock and an easy draw, the Regulator is a dream to shoot.” The bow will be available in Realtree AP and Black Ops with a suggested retail price of $549.
