Johnson Marine Introduces Splice Line Fittings for Dyneema & Spectra Lines

Marine hardware manufacturer C. Sherman Johnson Co. today unveiled a line of Splice Line fittings designed to allow easy replacement of stainless steel lifelines with hi-tech Dyneema or Spectra line. Lightweight, easy-to-install, and machined from hard-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, the new splice end accommodates up to 5/16-inch diameter line. The new fittings are available with a turnbuckle, pelican hook, gate eye, or toggle jaw attached. Alternatively, the new Splice Line fittings are available with four sizes of male thread, allowing installers to reuse existing hardware.
Recently approved by US Sailing and ISAF, Dyneema and Spectra lines are the perfect replacement for aging stainless steel lifelines, and are ideal for sailors of all levels.
