The Lil’ Jack is a great companion knife to go along with the Lumberjack Series of knives. It has an overall length of 7 ¼ inches. It will be a great piggy back knife to the full size Lumberjack knife or a perfectly good woods knife on its own. It is made of A2 tool steel in 3/32 inch stock for the blade and ¼ inch black Resiten scales with small fish eye bolts and 2-ton epoxy. The scales are secured to the steel very well and sealed against any fluids that might get behind them during game prep. The handle is 3 7/8 inches long with a sharpened edge at about 3 1/16 inches.
A2 steel has great edge holding qualities. The Lil’ Jack has a full convex grind with a secondary sharpened edge. The spine is sharpened as well to work with a fire steel. This knife will be great for heading out in the woods or a great addition to a bug out bag.
The sheath is a snap closure with Kydex retention to secure the knife in the woods. The sheath is handmade and has an added dangler set up to aid in comfort of carry. The sheath can be left unsnapped for constant use in camp or shut for walking through the woods. With the Kydex you can adjust the tension it adds to hold on the knife with a hair dryer and a little heat.
