This Week on Gun Girl Radio: Junior Shooter Molly Smith

This week on Gun Girl Radio, Randi Rogers and Julie Golob interview junior shooter Molly Smith. Molly is the Junior Team Captain of Team Smith and Wesson, writer of the blog The Molly Minute and well on her way to becoming a Supreme Court justice. Molly tells her story of how she started plinking with a 22 rifle at the age of 11, moved to a pistol and then to the revolver. She’s now 16 and competes in the Bianchi cup, ICORE, and Steel challenge matches.

We learn how Molly became a member of Team Smith and Wesson and advice that she’s giving other junior shooters for getting involved. Molly takes us through which competitions she has shot this year and what place she came in for each of those. We hear what her favorite and least favorite parts of the competitions include as well as how she transitions between competitions and what preparations she makes.

The interview draws to a close with mention of different youth programs that Molly is involved in and her perspective as a junior shooter attending the NRA show this year.
