Author and educator Jamie Burleigh spends his time teaching and writing about primitive skills. He develops classes and workshops focused on survival and the outdoors. He has contributed articles to Bowyers Journal, Primitive Archer, Self Reliance Illustrated, and Bushcraft magazine. He shares his primitive knowledge on bowmaking, flint knapping, meat processing and more with his students.
L.T. and Dan wanted to talk primitive bowmaking with Jamie. He experimented with bowmaking at a young age. He shares how to pick out materials to make a bow in the woods. He describes the process of twig snapping to choose the right one for your bow. Jamie explains that picking the right piece of wood can save you a lot of time and trouble later.
