Doug Koenig’s Championship Season Presents “Calling in a Kansas Rio Turkey”

World Champion Professional shooter and hunter Doug Koenig travels to Salina, Kansas in early April to hunt Rio Turkeys with a vertical bow. Doug is joined with his hunting buddy and fellow competitor Carl Bernosky who’ll be shooting a TenPoint Crossbow. With decoys set in a love triangle pattern, the stage is set for a center punch shot.

Koenig said, “The excitement and adrenaline I experienced when the birds came into close range was the same rush I get when I’m shooting a competition.” Koenig added, “Watching the birds come off the roost from the big timbers and respond to the calls, made this trip memorable.”
