Ohio DNR Offers Free Dove Hunting Workshop in Akron

September 1st marks the kick-off of several hunting seasons in Ohio. Many hunters agree that one of the most enjoyable ways to spend it is in a dove field. Whether you are new to the sport of hunting or you are a deer hunter looking for a change of pace, join ODNR Division of Wildlife staff on Thursday, August 29, 2013 to learn the basics of dove hunting.

The workshop will cover basic gear, seasons and laws, public hunting access, and private land management for doves.

The workshop will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wildlife District Three, 912 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron. Pre-registration is required as seating is limited. Call Ken Fry at (330) 245-3030.
