To participate in a wolf trapper certification class, potential trappers must register online through the FWP website (look under the Education tab, then click “Wolf Trapping Education” at fwp.mt.gov). The system will ask for contact information including your ALS number if you have one.  You may also register here:  http://fwp.mt.gov/education/wolfTrapping/

Classes will also be held at other locations across the state; details on these and other classes can be found on the online scheduler.  Students must attend the entire class session to be certified.

All trappers are reminded that they must register with DNRC by September 30 if they plan to trap on school trust lands.  If trappers wish to use Plum Creek Lands in northwest Montana, they must register at the FWP Headquarters on North Meridian Road in Kalispell.
