Montana Fall 2013 Bozeman Hunter Ed Registration Opens Saturday

On Saturday, August 17, online registration will open for the fall Hunter Education class in the Bozeman area. The class will begin Sept. 9 at Chief Joseph Middle School (4255 Kimberwicke Street) with the complete schedule as follows:

Chief Joseph Middle School:
Monday: Sept. 9, 2013, 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Tuesday: Sept. 10, 2013, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Wednesday: Sept. 11, 2013, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Thursday: Sept. 12, 2013, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday: Sept. 13, 2013, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Logan Range:
Saturday: Sept. 14, 2013, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.*

*Students will attend field day from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., or 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., as assigned in class.

There are two options for registration for the Bozeman class:

  • Students may register online between Aug. 17 and Sept. 6 by going to FWP’s website at fwp.mt.gov, clicking on Education, then Hunter Education, then “View Course Schedule.” Students must print, sign and bring the Student Agreement Form the first night of class. If the student is under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must sign the agreement. After online registration, classroom materials must be picked up at FWP’s regional office in Bozeman (1400 S. 19th Ave.) by Sept. 6.
  • Students may also register in person on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 7-9 p.m. at the FWP regional office in Bozeman (1400 S. 19th Ave.) in the large conference room (north entrance in the back).

Students under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian to take this class. Those students under 18 years old must also have a responsible adult with them on the Saturday field day.
