New Ranger RT188C Crappie Boat Now Available in Realtree and Mossy Oak Camo

Ranger’s commitment to quality and constant innovation has seen the legendary brand’s recently released aluminum boats become one of the country’s best-selling product lines. With the feature-laden boats’ solid, foam-filled hulls and wood-free construction, boat buyers are no longer relegated to lesser-quality aluminum or used fiberglass boats when they want to fish tight spaces or hunt waterfowl.

The new Ranger RT188C brings a crappie configuration of Ranger’s tremendously popular RT188 aluminum model, delivering crappie or multispecies anglers a larger boat that’s rated for 115 horsepower. The RT188C is built on a 92-inch beam for increased fishing and storage space. The front deck is highlighted by room for three-across pedestal seating along with an oversized, aerated livewell, integrated tool holders, tackle organizers and a port side rod locker equipped to hold rods up to 8 feet, 6 inches in length. A removable cooler, on-board battery charger and Minn Kota Edge trolling motor are also standard.

The cockpit of the new RT188C features premium marine upholstery, with two bucket seats and a fold-down third seat that doubles as a step to the rear deck. A convenient storage locker is also integrated below the cockpit seating area. The all-fiberglass console is offset to allow room for storing longer rods on the front deck and also comes standard with a Lowrance X4 Pro. The rear deck, meanwhile, features another divided, aerated livewell in addition to more gear storage and access to batteries, breakers and bilge pumps.

“Our RT Series boats are unmatched in terms of in terms of features, fishability or fit and finish,” said Ranger Boats President Randy Hopper. “Walk the front deck of the new RT188C or run it across open water and you will feel – and hear – the difference. It has a uniquely solid, one-piece-feel and it’s quiet when it’s time to start catching fish.”

Along with adding an 18-foot crappie configuration to the RT Series, Ranger now offers the RT models in an array of camo patterns. Previously available only on the MPV Series of Ranger aluminum boats, RT Series buyers can now choose from Mossy Oak Bottomland, Mossy Oak Break Up, Mossy Oak Shadowgrass or Realtree Maxx 4 camo for their boat’s hull and interior, ideal for waterfowl hunters and those who prefer their rugged outdoor gear to be camo. In addition, the camo configuration removes the carpet in favor of Ranger’s innovative slip-resistant Rawhide finish, providing even more versatility along with quick, easy clean up.

Further separating the Ranger aluminum product line from the competition, the new RT188C comes standard with a custom-fitted RangerTrail® trailer for easier towing and maneuvering. Featuring solid, channel beam steel, the NMMA-certified RangerTrail trailer delivers exceptional strength and is equipped with a center swing jack, locking swing-away tongue, integrated load guides, waterproof lights and durable Road Armor finish.
