Washington Opens Coho and Pink Salmon Fishing South of Foulweather Bluff, Olele Point

Effective Date: 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, through 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013.

Species affected:   Salmon.

Location:   Marine Area 9 (Admiralty Inlet), south of a line from Foulweather Bluff to Olele Point.

Reason for action:   This area is closed during the chinook mark-selective fishery in compliance with state and tribal management plans.  Recent estimates indicate there is no chance of re-opening the chinook fishery and this area can now be opened for coho and pink salmon fishing.

Other information:   Daily limit is 2 salmon plus 2 additional pink salmon.  Release chinook and chum.  Shoreline anglers are reminded to respect private property adjacent to Salsbury Point Park.  Anglers should consult the Fishing in Washington, Sports Fishing rules pamphlet for specific regulations for the Edmonds Fishing Pier.
