Last Call for New Hampshire’s Free ‘Hunting Mature Bucks’ Talk

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department’s fall outdoor adventure talks wrap up with two chances to hear a great deer hunting talk by Dave Priebe. He’ll give his presentation on “Hunting Mature Bucks” on two Wednesday evenings, October 2 and 9, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H. Admission is free and no pre-registration is required. So no excuses – come to this talk and learn how to get that big buck this fall!

Whitetail deer hunting in New Hampshire can be challenging. At his talk, Priebe will provide in-depth information on the rut — the phases of male whitetail deer breeding and behavior — and other key knowledge of deer biology that will help increase your odds of locating and harvesting a dominant whitetail buck. Get some important insights on hunting techniques and strategy during each rut phase; areas of greatest deer activity; and the effects of food, water, weather and humans on deer behavior.

Priebe is a seasoned outdoorsman, lifelong naturalist and a volunteer New Hampshire hunter education instructor. He is also a Quaker Boy Game Calls pro-staff member.

“Scouting is more than knowing that deer are around. It’s getting to know that deer you’re after,” said Priebe. “My talk will enhance your scouting skills and give you insight into the world of the whitetail.”
