Indiana DNR Offers Backyard Feeder Workshop at Paynetown SRA, Dec. 13
Participants can learn about the winter food needs of animals and build two wildlife feeders to take home at Monroe Lake’s Backyard Feeder Workshop, Dec. 13.
The workshop is at Paynetown State Recreation Area at 6 p.m. and will last two hours.
During winter food can become difficult for animals to find— particularly when it snows. You can help wildlife by setting out feeders in your backyard.
Each participant will assemble and decorate a platform feeder for birds and a corn feeder for squirrels.
Registration is required by Dec. 9 and is limited to eight people. Cost is $10 per person. Sign up by calling the Paynetown Activity Center at (812) 837-9967.
Paynetown SRA on Monroe Lake is at 4850 South State Road 446, Bloomington, 47401.
