“TruckVault Cares” Tops 101,000 Votes

A record-setting 101,000 votes have been cast so far in the fourth annual Wingshooting USA “TruckVault Cares … for conservation, canines & kids” initiative. Seven groups will share in the funds and national publicity provided via Scott Linden’s TV series.

Lead sponsor TruckVault is joined by co-sponsors Filson, Happy Jack, Webley & Scott, Royal Flush Adventures, Kent Cartridge, Scott Linden’s Signature Series of dog gear and Pursuit Channel television network. Wingshooting USA fans vote online for their favorite group, and beneficiary group members are encouraged via print and online efforts to tell their friends and “go viral” to garner more votes and maximize funds for their organization.

“It’s hard to believe that in one year’s time we’d be talking about 100,000 plus votes for the season but here we are. We always knew this would have the potential to get pretty big and now momentum is on our side. I think it’s a testament to the cause and how much people get behind kids, their canine companions and conservation in the shooting sports world. My hats off to those who have taken the time and effort to vote for their favorite Organization and we here at TruckVault look forward to rewarding their voting efforts with some cash to help support those efforts and deserving cause,” said Don Fenton, TruckVault Sales & Marketing Director.

Currently the lead is hotly contested, with the AKC Canine Health Foundation and National 4H Shooting Sports within a few thousand votes of each other, and American Brittany Rescue a strong third.

Each vote directs funds on a proportional basis so that all organizations receive dollars for their treasury. This year’s beneficiary groups also include: Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation, Ruffed Grouse Society, International Hunter Education Association-USA, and the U.S. Sportsman’s Alliance Foundation Trailblazer Adventure program.

“I created this initiative because these are groups that deserve wider recognition for their efforts to support the same things I do on the show,” Linden said. “My viewers love bird hunting and dogs, but they also appreciate the organizations that make possible the pursuit of our passion now and well into the future.”

New this year is a voting component on the TruckVault Cares Facebook page in addition to the www.truckvaultcares.com web page. Voters can win prizes throughout the effort, ranging from a South Dakota hunting trip to a “sport utility building” from EZ Logs Earth, Webley & Scott shotgun, Filson apparel, Happy Jack dog care products, Kent ammo, Scott Linden dog training gear and the grand prize, a TruckVault. Voting continues through December.

Beneficiary groups are provided with online, on-air and print marketing exposure including television commercials and in-show educational features on Wingshooting USA. The viral initiative also helps each groups’ members learn more about the other groups, recruit new members, and learn more about their own organization.

The most watched upland hunting TV show in the country, Scott Linden’s Wingshooting USA airs on seven networks, six of them year-round. Created and hosted by Linden, the title sponsor is the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s hunter-recruitment initiative of the same name.
