Crimson Trace Hires Hoppes

Crimson Trace, the world’s leading brand of laser sights and tactical lighting products for firearms, announces the hiring of John Hoppes as the company’s new Product Manager. Hoppes brings nearly 20 years of marketing and product development experience to the position and has previously worked with numerous national consumer brands, including: Sunbeam, Craftsman, Yakima, Kobalt, and Blount.

“The experience and professionalism that John brings to the Product Manager role is a critical step forward in fulfilling our vision of making laser sighting systems standard equipment on every personal protection firearm sold in this country,” said Kent Thomas, Director of Marketing and Product Development.  “We are very excited to add John to the Crimson Trace team and utilize his extensive market facing experience to develop products and technologies that will keep Crimson Trace at the forefront of the industry.” Crimson Trace is widely recognized as the laser sight leader in the shooting sports industry.

The Product Manager is part of Crimson Trace’s marketing team and is responsible for driving the identification, development and launch of products and programs for the company’s consumer market category. Among Hoppes’ new responsibilites are managing new products and future product concepts, ensuring customer validation, and product commercialization in a timely and on budget release to markets.

Hoppes will be based at the Crimson Trace headquarters in Wilsonville, Oregon. The company is celebrating 20 years of design and manufacturing in 2014. Crimson Trace’s mission is to enhance people’s ability to protect family, home and country.
