The Leupold VX-R Patrol has been awarded the 2014 Golden Bullseye Award from the editors of the NRA’s American Rifleman as the magazine’s Optic of the Year.
A “symbol of excellence and innovation in firearms, accessories and related equipment,” the Golden Bullseye is voted on by the editors of the National Rifle Association’s flagship publication.
“We’re proud to see the VX-R Patrol recognized by the editors of American Rifleman,” said Pat Mundy, senior manager for marketing and brand management at Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “This honor is a testament to all of our employees, whose mission is to build the best optics on the market and build them right here in Oregon.”
The VX-R Patrol has a single push-button illumination system with eight intensity settings that range from night-vision compatible to daylight bright. Equipped with Leupold’s proprietary Motion Sensor Technology (MST), the illumination system will automatically deactivate after five minutes of inactivity and instantly reactivate, to the same intensity setting, as soon as any movement is detected. The VX-R Patrol is available in a 1.25-4x20mm model with the FireDot Special Purpose Reticle and a 3-9x40mm model with the FireDot Tactical Milling Reticle (TMR).
The FireDot Special Purpose Reticle is designed for instinctive, close-range/low-magnification situations, yet allows shooters to engage targets with greater precision at longer ranges than generally possible with other reticle styles. Expanding on existing Mil Dot reticles, the FireDot TMR offers increased ranging precision and accuracy.
The VX-R Patrol is backed by Leupold’s Full Lifetime Guarantee. For more information visit a local dealer, go to www.leupold.com or call 1-800-LEUPOLD.
