The Redfield CounterStrike has garnered the 2014 Golden Bullseye Award from the National Rifle Association’s Shooting Illustrated as the Optic of the Year.
Voted on by Shooting Illustrated editors, the Golden Bullseye Award honors excellence in firearms and accessories.
“The CounterStrike was a bit of a departure from what Redfield was known for offering,” said Pat Mundy, senior manager for marketing and brand management at Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Right out of the gate, we knew this was going to be a great product, and we’re grateful to the NRA for helping validate those beliefs.”
Designed for the defensive or competition modern sporting or tactical rifle, the CounterStrike will get shooters on target and with greater precision through its multiple sighting options. A user-selectable 4-MOA red or green dot features 11 different intensity settings, including two night-vision compatible levels.
A powerful visible red laser is mounted below the objective, keeping it as close as possible to the line of the bore. A dedicated on/off switch allows the user to operate the laser independently from the reticle illumination.
A MIL-STD M1913 Picatinny rail mount is compatible with almost any MSR/AR and tightens down rock solid. Included pop-up lens covers keep the optics protected but flip open instantly when needed. Tethered dial covers prevent loss in the field and protect the 1/2-MOA click adjustments.
Using a standard CR123A battery, the CounterStrike delivers up to 5,000 hours of reticle runtime. Weather is no concern as the CounterStrike is 100% waterproof, fog proof and nitrogen filled. The CounterStrike is covered by Redfield’s “No Excuses” full lifetime and Electronics warranties.
